Consider Removing Chat Features From Your Websites.

“Attorneys should consider removing chat features from their websites.

Psychologist Barry Schwartz’s study The Paradox of Choice highlights how offering too many options can lead to decision paralysis and lower satisfaction.

Take a look at your website. Do you have a phone number, an information form, a chat feature, and maybe even a Facebook Messenger pop-up? Many attorney websites are cluttered with too many options, which can overwhelm potential clients.

Simplifying your website is key. Place your phone number prominently at the top and a form at the bottom. If someone takes the time to fill out the form at the bottom, they’ve likely read through your homepage and are a more qualified lead.

Adding chat features can actually hurt your conversions. Chat buttons distract visitors, reduce phone call inquiries, and decrease the likelihood of getting high-quality form submissions. Keep your site clean and focused—encourage calls or form submissions, and leave chat features behind.”
