This is How to Buy Leads

“Many attorneys turn to third-party lead providers to fuel their pipeline. But here’s the problem: without proper due diligence, you could be exposing your firm to compliance violations or worse, litigation.

Before you buy, treat it like a legal case. Ask yourself: “If I had to defend this lead source in court, could I?”

Do you know where the leads come from? Are they from an owned and operated site, or are they sourced from another third party? If your source won’t disclose this that’s a red flag.

Can you confirm that proper consent was obtained from the consumer? TCPA compliance is critical. Ask to see the actual landing page where consent was given.

How well do you know the company you’re buying from? What’s their track record? Even if they have a strong reputation, don’t skip your due diligence. Fraudulent or misleading leads can put your firm at serious risk.

Don’t gamble with your firm’s reputation. Vet your lead providers like you would vet evidence in a case.”
